Terms of use
Terms of use
Last updated: 6 October 2026
These terms cover Quitt, the app at app.quittapp.com and the site at quittapp.com, run by RegenBlau OG, Schnirchgasse 9/2608, 1030 Wien, Austria (office@regenblau.at). If you do not agree, do not use Quitt.
1. What Quitt does
Quitt splits a restaurant or shop bill while you are still at the table. You scan or type the bill, and each person taps what they had. It is a calculator for the group. It does not pay the restaurant, and it does not move money between friends.
2. Who can use it
You need to be at least 16 years old. Buying a scan pack is a paid contract: you can buy only if you are old enough to do that where you live (in Austria, that is 18).
You can sign in with your email. We send a one-time code. You are responsible for that inbox. A friend can also join from an invite as a guest, with a display name and no account. Guests can use the group. They cannot buy scan packs.
3. The group
Anyone in the group can add or edit a bill, claim items, and invite other people. Scan packs bought for a group are shared by that group. They are not a personal balance you can move to another group.
Do not upload a receipt or a name you are not allowed to share with the rest of the group. Do not use Quitt to harass anyone or to store anything illegal.
We may close a group or an account that is being used to abuse the service, attack the system, or share other people’s payment details on purpose.
4. Scan packs
Typing a bill is free. Reading a receipt with AI uses one scan from the group’s balance.
A signed-in user’s first group starts with 5 free AI scans. After that, a signed-in member can buy a pack for the group:
Small Trip: 30 AI scans for €1.99
Big Vacation: 150 AI scans for €4.45
Shared Household: 1000 AI scans for €19.99
Those are the prices in euro shown in the app, before VAT. VAT is added at checkout. A pack is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Unused scans do not expire on a date of their own. They stay on the group until they are used or the group is deleted.
Stripe takes the payment and emails the receipt. We add the scans to the group after Stripe confirms the payment.
5. Withdrawal and refunds
Scan packs are digital credits. Before you pay, you must agree that we supply the scans immediately and that you then lose your right of withdrawal.
If you agree and we add the scans to the group, the 14-day withdrawal right does not apply to that pack. That includes scans you have not used yet. Stripe’s receipt email confirms the agreement.
If a purchase is completed without that agreement, and you are a consumer in the EU, you can withdraw within 14 days without giving a reason. Email office@regenblau.at within that time and say which pack and which account. We then refund the full amount you paid, including VAT.
Nothing in this section limits rights you have by law that cannot be waived.
6. Your bills and photos
You keep the rights to the text and photos you put in. You let us host them, show them to the group, and send a receipt photo to the reading model so the items can be extracted.
A receipt photo stays on the bill until the bill is deleted or we delete the account. See the privacy policy for how to ask for deletion.
7. Availability
We aim to keep Quitt available, including offline use in a group that has already loaded. We do not promise that a scan will read every receipt correctly. Check the items before you rely on the split. We are not a party to who owes whom, and we do not collect the debt.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, or any other liability that Austrian or EU consumer law does not allow us to limit.
For everything else, we are liable only for foreseeable damage that is typical for this kind of service, and not for a split your group accepted after the items were on screen.
9. The product itself
The Quitt name, the Q mark, and the app (not your bills) belong to RegenBlau OG. You may not copy the product or resell scan packs.
10. Law
Austrian law applies. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protection of the law of your home country where that protection cannot be waived, and you can sue in the courts of your home country. If you use Quitt for a business, the courts in Vienna have jurisdiction.
11. Changes
If we change these terms in a way that affects a pack you already bought, the old terms still apply to that pack. For everything else, the new terms apply from the date on this page.
